We currently make use of solar energy to reduce the electricity and natural gas requirements now needed to operate lighting and equipment in common areas.
The Fairbanks Ridge project, presently under construction, uses a 120 kW carport mounted solar PV system to offset almost all house electrical loads, and a solar thermal heating system intended to offset much of the heating loads for the laundries and swimming pool.

16th and Market
February 2006
Development begins on St. Vincent de Paul 12 story, 136 unit family project to be constructed at 16th and Market in downtown San Diego. This is the first affordable housing project developed as a high rise building in San Diego and will satisfy the inclusionary requirements of Ball Park Village. The $70 million project will include MHP financing, 4% tax credits and tax exempt bond financing.
